Clash DJ Mix – Kiko Bun

Purveyor of sunshine, bringer of good vibes...

Let's face it, British summertime isn't much cop. Perhaps that's why we have such a fascination with cultures that have developed under the blazing heat of the mid-day sun.

British youth culture has always had a tropical twist, and Kiko Bun is a modern iteration of this. Fusing reggae with hip-hop, salsa, and soul, his music aims for the hips but captures the heart.

Kiko Bun is set to play this year's Borderless, a new venture from Battersea Arts Centre and GOAT Music. A series of live music events, the line up already includes the likes of Hackney Colliery Band, Nubiyan Twist, HÆLOS, Electric Jalaba, and more. Kiko Bun will play on September 8th, but before then the West London-based artist has pieced together an exclusive mix for Clash.

Expect soulful reggae fare, with the selector opening with spacious, Rasta-inclined vibes before moving through all shades of system culture.
