The Idle Man: Print Collection

The ecomm destination takes things in-house.

What sums up (UK wide) city life in 2015 for you? For The Idle Man’s Head Buyer Thom Scherdel, brutalist architecture, endless horizons and laughing gas canisters are high up on the list: no cacti, sports cars or pub vibes for him, no sir.

All this we know as a result of the brand’s latest project, a first dip of menswear toes into own label territory. AW15, you see, marks the debut print collection from the online platform, with the introduction this week of 16 Hackney printed pieces inspired by Scherdel’s urban surroundings.

The full line-up, pictured above and comprised exclusively of tees and sweatshirts in either black or white, elsewhere sees the ‘Idle’ moniker adapted for a repeat print and Raf erring double prints, plus the slightly sorrowful phrase ‘to no avail’ dubbed across the centre.
