Swedish Hasbeens x Merci

The brand hooks up with a Parisian store for a new collab.

A king amongst non-sports related footwear collabs – they were tapped by H&M long before Balmain caused a frenzy or Kenzo got the memo – Swedish Hasbeens is at it again for SS16.

Teaming up with the other infamous Parisian concept store (you’ll find no sign of blue in the line-up), the new collection sees the brand marrying its own Swedish quality and design with ‘the conscious and aware design principles’ of Merci.

“Merci is one of my favourite places for inspiration in the world,” notes Emy Blixt, the founder and designer behind Swedish Hasbeens. “This collection is about being genuine and conscious at the same time as fashionable and feminine. Just like the principles of both Merci and Swedish Hasbeens.”

Already available both at the brands respective stores and online, the collab boasts two key styles – the Merci Slip In and the Merci Sandal, the former dominating the 70’s vibe – while a bright palette of red, yellow, green and orange sits alongside black, brown and tan.
