Petit Bateau Taps Annelie Schubert

The Hyères International Festival of Fashion winner collaborates for SS16.

From the label that kickstarted your Breton top addiction and got MGMT doing their best Blue Steel circa 2009, a new collaboration is set to drop this spring.

The work of French jersey’s finest Petit Bateau (elsewhere responsible for a strong line of yellow fisherman jackets), the brand has just tapped French-German designer Annelie Schubert for a four piece capsule collection, launching in April.

A former intern at Haider Ackermann and winner of the Première Vision Grand Prize at the 30th edition of the Hyères International Festival of Fashion in 2015, this new partnership sees Schubert explore Petit Bateau’s back catalogue, using a contemporary gaze to redefine the classics.

A series of long and short sleeve tees – a token dress elsewhere features – the small line up sticks to a cool blue/white/green palette, distorting stripes with a focus on draping.
