Le Coq Sportif x Footpatrol R800 Artisan

The latest in the 'Made in France' line-up.

Le Coq Sportif has spent the past 11 months making its way through a Made in France campaign, re-establishing the best of the sports label’s footwear pieces in the proud context of its rich history and provincial manufacturing.

Its latest project? A hook up with the London boutique, Foot Patrol that sees the pair reinterpret 1991’s LCS R800.

The second time the two have partnered up (the latter re-released the Eclat in 2013), the new model boasts Le Coq Sportif’s infamous Dynactif energy return system.

Made at The Cléon Factory in the French village of La Romagne (responsible for producing high quality footwear since 1946), this new project sees Foot Patrol pay homage to the craftspeople working on the R800, hence the additional ‘Artisan’ in its new modern moniker.

Dropping this Friday (the 18th), the trainers elsewhere boast a warm blue/tan palette, accompanied by three separate pairs of laces including a fat blue pair, a multi-coloured flat lace and a full grain tan leather lace; a wooden shoe box (think posh wine vibes) completes the offering.
