Fred Perry x Amy Winehouse: SS16

The brand lines up a new collection with the late singer's foundation.

“When people have a bird tattooed on them, it means one, they’re well travelled, or they’re a free spirit – that was both Amy,” recalls tattoo artist Henry Hate in a new short.

The video – produced by Fred Perry, below – accompanies the latest collaborative efforts by the brand and the Amy Winehouse Foundation, with whom the former has worked closely since the singer’s death in 2011, continuing the work Winehouse started in 2010.

Adopting a more intimate approach, several pieces from the new line-up are adorned with an updated take on a bird tattoo previously designed by Hate for Winehouse.

Elsewhere Fred Perry has reissued the Amy Winehouse Knitted dress and the Amy Winehouse Tipped, Knitted and Bowling shirts, debuted by the artist in her first collection with the brand six years ago.

A contribution from each sale goes directly to the charity.
