‘This summer Fila continue to capitalise on the recent demand for sports heritage’ asserts the press notes that accompany the brand’s latest offering, and it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to say it excels at it too.
With a vast archive from which to explore, this week the sports label drops a follow up collection to the Black Line pieces announced last year, delivering a new footwear assortment produced specifically for the European market.
Mirroring the decades previously referenced (read: the 80’s and 90’s), the brand’s new efforts, shot here by the photographer and filmmaker BAFIC, tap an aesthetic marrying contemporary nostalgia and areas of post-Soviet era skate culture (think Gosha and the like).
Comprised of several vintage styles reinterpreted for today’s hypebeasts, the full line-up boasts The Original Fitness, The Classic Original Tennis and a hiking boot from 1991, plus The Trailblazer, now available in a series of colours such as red, green, brown and black. And it all drops tomorrow.
