David Bowie Is All Yours

Selfridges launches Bowie pop-up in-store.

Before the David Bowie is exhibition had even opened at the V&A there was a heavy state of Bowie fever across town. Now that it is open (and fully booked), said fever has only increased, and today it's likely to reach a whole new level with the arrival of a Bowie themed pop-up store in Selfridges. Part of a collaboration with the museum, the concept store offers fans and intrigued shoppers alike the chance to live out their wildest Bowie dreams, more or less.

Inside you'll find limited edition museum pieces such as tees and prints, a hand picked 'Bowie esc' selection of current Selfridges stocked designers-think Gareth Pugh and Givenchy-as well as an impressive capsule collection from the vintage emporium, Decades. The latter sees vintage pieces from designers including Celine, Alaia and Dior, all subconsciously channelling Bowie's look for the Man Who Fell To Earth and his Marlene Dietrich persona. On top of this there's exclusive and limited edition prints from Brian Duffy (he who shot the cover for Aladdin Sane), made to order from the original contact sheets, and a selection of books, magazines and album covers from Idea Books and The Vinyl Factory. Lastly Illamasquara's Creative Director, Alex Box will be doing a  series of master classes while the rest of the Illamasqua team will be on hand for makeover. Bit of a dream situation if you like shopping and David Bowie really.
