Blood Brother: Footwear SS16

The label adds to 'Colony' collection.

Dipping its toes into the footwear market obviously paid off for Blood Brother last season, as SS16 sees the London label follow up with several new styles (Clash’s top picks above).

Dropping online and in-store today, the new line-up is part of Nicholas Biela and James Waller’s full ‘Colony’ collection, inspired, we’re told, by the pair’s research into alternative landscapes and the concept of movement with zero gravity (think outer space and beyond).

For their part, the shoes have been hand finished (!) in Portugal using Italian leather, suede and nubuck – which translates as them being pretty fancy objects – while aesthetically they follow a similar path as AW15’s debut offering.

Boasting a custom Blood Brother sole, the label’s sportier offerings echo early noughties vibes with hidden or non-existent laces.
