Mencap Little Noise Sessions are set to return later this year with performances lined up from The Maccabees, Noah and the Whale and Richard Hawley.
The Clash team love nothing more than a decent gig, and if we can support a charity too then all the better. Thankfully, Mencap's Little Noise Sessions are set to return later this year, placating our need for live music and generally making the world a better place.
Running between November 20th – 25th, this year's Little Noise Sessions will be overseen by Mencap ambassador Jo Whiley. Mercury nominated strummer Richard Hawley is set to headline on November 21st, fresh from his beautiful collaboration with the BBC Philharmonic.
In support, Swedish duo First Aid Kit are set to perform while newcomer King Charles is also planning to make an appearance. The Maccabees are due to perform on November 23rd, with Jamie N Commons in support. In a folk twist, Noah & The Whale will close Little Sessions with Villagers set to unveil their new album alongside newcomer Lucy Rose.
A quote from Jo Whiley: “I’m so excited to be hosting Mencap’s Little Noise Sessions for the seventh year running! What’s more, we’re back at St John-at-Hackney Church, which inspired a truly electric atmosphere for fans and artists alike last year – there really is nothing more extraordinary than seeing big artists perform in such an intimate and beautiful venue.”
If you sign up to Mencap Little Noises’ backstage area http://www.littlenoisesessions.org.uk/subscribe then you'll be able to buy tickets via a pre-sale on October 5th. Tickets will go on general sale on Monday (October 8th) with more acts set to be announced shortly.
